A Legacy for Generations: The Generosity of Herman Meinders

The impact of Herman Meinders can be seen and felt throughout Oklahoma and beyond.  His decades of generosity has made higher education possible, treatment available for chronic and fatal illnesses, and ensured work continues by a wide range of nonprofit organizations serving their communities, just to name a few. From Pipestone, Minnesota, Meinders made Oklahoma his home at a young age.  He founded American Floral Services (AFS) in his garage in northwest Oklahoma City, and today AFS is the most-recognized flowers by wire service.
